The UN46B8500 features a lot of new technology, something that the market has gotten used to seeing from this maker in recent years. In fact, they have been at the forefront of just about every technological advancement in displays for the last six years. This net keeps the record going by offering a new take on local dimming and a highly intuitive operating system for the built in apps.
The apps in question include a wide variety of social networking, media and even gaming applications delivered via the TVs OS. The menu system is a new version on the highly successful one released last year. The text is large and easy to read. Aside from the cost, the only thing some buyers may find a drawback is the fact that the TV does have a slight problem with off angle viewing.
